FIFTH ANNUAL! FREE ENTRY!

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STAR SPELLERS INVITED TO ENTER THE "$1,000 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SPELLING BEE CHAMPIONSHIP" IN LONG BEACH ON MARCH 19
(One Speller from Every Elementary School in SoCal Can Compete to Win $1,000 Cash)

TO BEE (THERE) OR NOT TO BEE (THERE). THAT'S THE QUESTION THAT COULD WIN A STUDENT $1,000 CASH AT THE fifth annual $1,000 Southern California Spelling Bee Championship that will be held on Sun., March 19, at 2 p.m. in Belmont Shore at Bay Shore Church, 5100 E. The Toledo (@ Granada Ave.). The contest is sponsored by Justin Rudd and his nonprofit 501c3 Community Action Team (CAT). The top prize is $1,000 in cash.

WHAT'S IN A WORD?
Plenty, especially when it's the rigors of the $1,000 Southern California Elementary School Spelling Bee Championship. In this Bee, one of the participants has the opportunity to go home with a grand prize of $1,000 and that's spelled C-A-S-H! Words like "acquiesce," "pseudonym," "pneumonia," and "mischievous" must be spelled and spelled correctly under the watchful eyes and ears of judges. If that is not challenging enough for the young students (up to and including fifth graders), it must be done while their peers, who are also nervously awaiting their opportunity to shine, look on. All words in the dictionary are fair game and the words begin on a fifth grade level

All Southern California elementary-level, public, private and parochial schools may enter one speller in the Championship and students must be in grade five or lower. Some home-schooled students are allowed to compete. Entry is free for those registered in advance and is just $10 if registering the day of the Bee.

TO ENTER
Entry forms can be downloaded at the official Web site: www.SpellingBees.com Or, call Rudd at 562/439-3316 or JustinRudd@aol.com to request an entry form.
