Justin Rudd's "Great American 4th of July Kids Bike Parade" on the Beach Bike Path is all about Red, White & Youth
WHAT
Justin Rudd's annual "Great American 4th of July Kids Bike Parade"
More than 250 kids of all ages, and their parents are expected to ride on decked-out patriotic-themed bikes, wearing red, white & blue outfits and waving flags, in hopes of taking home prize money. Entry is free. RSVP to JustinRudd@aol.com. Helmets are required. No motor-driven cycles.
WHERE
start/finish: 1 Granada Ave. on the beach bike path, Belmont Shore
The 2-mile leisurely-paced "out & back" parade will start at the Granada Boat Launch Ramp (Granada Ave. @ Ocean Blvd.) and travel east along the beach bike path, crossing Ocean Blvd., continuing down Bay Shore Ave. to Second St. Bay Shore Ave. will be closed to automobile traffic. The parade will not cross Second St.
WHEN
TUES., July 4, 10 a.m. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. Awards immediately follow the parade, approx. 10:40.
JUDGING
Judging will take place along the parade route based on: display of red, white & blue; originality; creativity; and spectator appeal.
PRIZES
Cash prizes to the top-ten best entries.
