Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Here is a brief explanation of some of the questions you may have about this Message Board.

Can I post messages anonymously? What is an IP address?

You don't have to give your name, however for security, our system does capture your IP address.

An IP address does not publicly disclose exactly who you are, however it does give the name of the service provider or network that you are using to connect to the Internet. AOL, Earthlink and most dial-up providers assign thousands of IP addresses in a semi-random manner. DSL and cable users receive new IP addresses periodically, while network users are often lumped together under one or more IP's.

Can I edit my message after I click the submit button?

No -- please proof read your post before you press the submit button.

If you notice that you have made a mistake after the message has posted, please go ahead and post a new correct one and email the Administrator (Click here) . In the email include the subject and time-stamp number of the erroneous message -- example: 20:13:36 03/18/01 . We will remove it at our earliest opportunity. Please be sure to post a new corrected message -- we cannot edit erroneous messages -- they must be removed.

Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a followup?

Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document. The owner of the WWWBoard can decide whether they wish to enable or disable the quoting of previous messages.

Why didn't my post show up?

Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Please reload your browser and it should then appear.
