I would have thought that since Stolpe is an officer, he would be a "slam-dunk" for the police endorsement.

: So far, the groups that have interviewed all of us (or at least me!) for possible endorsements are the Police Officers Association (which I think endorsed Baker) and the Chamber of Commerce, which probably hasn't made their decision yet.
: I have also been told that the Republican Party endorsed Norm Ryan because he incorrectly told them that he was the only Republican in the race, while there are actually three registered Republicans in the race (the Rep. party's policy is to not endorse candidates in contested primaries). I haven't heard about a resolution of this little situation.
