: I don't think its negative, and certainly don't want to get into a fight over it.

I got a call from someone who said they were a muckity-muck with the local Republican party asking if I was a Republican, and saying that you had told the party you were the only Republican in the race; I also got a flier from your campaign, which if I recall said something similar. I can't remember the exact wording, and threw it away without paying much other attention to it, but I remember the comments in the flier about your ties to the party caught me off guard, as I thought it was a non-partisan taboo to even discuss. I was just trying to answer the question asked. Again, no fight wanted, that's why I haven't researched the phone call, and let it die.

By the way...you had much better seats for the basketball game tonight than I did!
: A little negative campaigning, Robert? "I was told.." but you never verified? Was that because I never, "...incorrectly told them that (I) was the only Republican in the race" But it makes a better story your way, I guess.
: You are correct that the Rep Party does not endorse in contested primaries - but then this is only a primary if no one wins outright. It is also a situation where the two that go on to the run-off are both Democrats - like the 4th and th 5th races. The Rep Party didn't consider that a "Primary". It also endorsed as a direct result of Dan Baker getting the Democratic endorsement over Beverly.
: FYI the Chamber endorsed Beverly. The Firefighters are holding off. The Howard Jarvis Taxpayer's Association has endorsed me.
