Joe Flazh! and The Coffeehaven Coffeehouse & Art Gallery announce the
opening of "PAPAleo & papaleo" - Patre e Figlio the paintings of San Pedro,
CA father and son artists, Alan and Antonio Papaleo. The artists' reception
will be held May 11, 2002 from 7:00 -10:00 P.M.

Father, Alan, is an internationally known artist who has been exhibited
at the Gallery Eros in Lanciano, Italy, Sothebys, Los Angeles and Mandalay
Beach Hotel, Las Vegas. Alan is a master of figurative images that exist in
surreal and mysterious worlds that he has been creating for over a quarter of
a century. Papaleo is also a successful businessman, owner of Salon Papaleo
for twenty years, in San Pedro.

Son, Antonio, at only 22 years of age is following in his famous father's
footsteps with his distinctly own artistic statements. A use of hard edged,
intense colors and movement inspired by such diverse images as graffiti, pop
art and medieval religious paintings brought him to the attention of the
L'Oreal Gallery in Hammersmith, London where he had his first exhibit two
years ago to enthusiastic response.
